Then one of the seraphs flew over to me with a live coal, which he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched it to my lips and declared, “Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt shall depart and your sin be purged away.”
The Lord put out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: Herewith I put My words into your mouth.
He said to me, “Mortal, eat what is offered you; eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel.”
Ezekiel has quite the dramatic experience of God preparing his mouth to speak His prophecies.
